just one life

I do not know you well as an artist. You do not know me at all. There was a time when I saved lives with my inspiration. Now it is your turn. I am struggling in dire straits with addiction. Every night I listen to diamonds. I may or may not make it, but diamonds helps me through. I cannot afford treatment. If in all your life, you save just one person, all the work is worth it. I do not know if I will survive, but up until now, your song has made me wake up all these mornings. You matter. You make a dent.

Until I find help, until I find a way out of this mess, diamonds is my anthem. I am lost. I will lie really well to anyone. I have been sleeping on that bed of nails. I am a generous thief. But I am an incredible human being inside.

I hope to one day reblog and be a triumphant survivor, and it will be in a large part to you. My death note to my Mom (just in casr I screw up for good) is the lyrics to diamonds sitting on my coffee table. I pray she never reads it.
