Benefit show for New Light India Sept. 19 in New York City

Ben will headline a Sept. 19 fundraiser for the nonprofit New Light India at the New York Society for Ethical Culture. "An Acoustic Evening with Ben Harper" benefits the organization's community development of the "Boys Home Project" based in Kalighat, India. The Force Film Foundation is producing the event through partnership with the nonprofit, Lend Your Hands.

Pre-sale tickets will be available Tuesday, August 19 at 10am EDT via Ticketmaster using password newlight. General on sale starts August 22 at 10am EDT.

Founded in 2000 by Urmi Basu, New Light India provides shelter, educational opportunities, recreational facilities, healthcare and legal aid for the girls and women in Kalighat, notorious for its red light district. more»
