I'm writing this review in the summer of 2006, more than 8 years after this show. Despite the near decade, and dozens of other concerts I've been to since, this still stands tall as the greatest show I've ever seen...no contest. I remember that night at the Metropolis as though it were last night. It's a very small venue...basically an oversized bar. This made for an intensely intimate exchange. Ben tapped into our energy and returned it tenfold. 'Walk Away' left no eye dry, including his own. As always, Juan staged some stellar work on the bass and it was the first time I'd heard the guys perform 'Sexual Healing'. What a treat that was. I'll also add that it was an audience request.

The street outside after the show was an amazing sight...like nothing I'd ever seen before, and sadly have yet to see again. Folks were hanging and floating around the venue with blank, airy looks on thier faces. Others sat together on the curb and slowly talked quietly. It was so...peaceful. It took many of us hours and even days to come back from that night. None of us wanted to leave where Ben had taken us.
