I was there. That was the first time I've ever heard Ben Harper. I was there for Dave Matthews' concert, but when the first notes from Oppression started, all the strenght and simplicity of the song touched my heart. Who's this guy singing and playing with all this emotion, sit with a weird guitar on his legs?, that was my first thought. The set continues with heavier songs, other beautiful poetries and with me completely in love with his music. On the very next week of the show, I ordered his three first albuns and today I just bought There Will Be A Light (another wonderful record) and I'm praying to God that Ben come back and play again in my home town, Rio de Janeiro.
