I saw Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals for the first time in Clearwater, and it was one of the best shows I'd ever seen.Because of the intamate venue it felt very connected and had a great vibe, plus having a florida band like mofro on the ticket was great. The acoustic encore was great, during the middle of it the mic gave out, so I have the privilage of seeing him in his rawest form. I would like to thank everyone who attended for making the vibes so good, and i would aslo like to thank ben and the band for coming to our sleepy beach town, it is a show i'll never forget, and i thank you for that.

Saw Ben for the 3rd time in Clearwater, FL. and it tops the top of my list. An absolute beautiful show. My wife and I actually stood outside Ben and the ICs' bus just by chance we would get to meet him. So after about 1 hour or so Leon came out and talked to us. Signed some stuff and that was cool, it nice to know that no matter how big musicians get they still remember us the fans. Again we waited and about 20 minutes later Ben comes out. Meeting him was something that i'll remember all my life. I hold his music so high, and when you meet someone who you admire..it's beyond words. He was the nicest-sweetest most gentle, thankful guy. He was SO appreciative of everyone for waiting outside. He signed the cover of "Burn To Shine" for me and personalized it as well. Then took some time to talk about how even if his music becomes huge-it doesn't matter-beacause the grassroots following that he has will blow all of that away. I'm so glad that Ben appreciates his fans and it's rare..and that was a great night-one that i'll always, always remember.

The show in Clearwater rocked! A sit down venue but filled with family and friends! Been a fan for a little over a year but this was the first time to see Ben live! I have surrendered and will never feel "Alone" quite the same. Diamonds on the Inside is DEEP and Deeper yet is Ben's presence. Entranced by those who WALK IN BALANCE, walk in beauty... they who are taking the sacred and the party to higher grounds. Keep on walking in truth ... keep on sharing the vibes that have you out there making a difference, making us dance, and making us feel the truths!
Personally to the artist I am honored to have met and spoke with... you are pure inspiration, flowing freely, a genuine source of BEING, and SO VERY, VERY BEAUTIFUL! Thank you all for an evening of memories and for the respect and the willingness to share your talent! MUCH, MUCH LOVE IN ABUNDANCE TO YOU! Lisa

Wow! What a great show! Ben was in very good voice, and his guitar playing was excellent, but he really blew me away when he sat down and played the slide guitar. He was phenomenal. As a guitar player myself, I was in awe. His bassist took two solos during the show and was really, really impressive. The percussionist was really something special too. Hell, the whole band was great! They played about 3 hours, including the first encore where Ben sat down alone and played five songs, acoustically, until the band joined him. During his solo acoustic set, right before he went into "Waiting For An Angel", the sound system went out and we all had to be absolutely silent so we could hear him onstage with no amplification. That was really something, a very strange and beautiful thing. But, leave it to one idiot in the back to try and ruin the moment for everybody. Ben, heard almost as a whisper (or a prayer) was singing this really beautiful song, and this jackass yells out "Louder!!!

last night was a magical experience. mofro blew my mind once again. but the real thing started when they left the stage. ben came on and my stomach and legs felt like jell-o for a split second and when i looked into his eyes he made me feel peaceful and happy
like an old friend that i hadnt seen in a while. i was standing right in front of him. FIRST ROW and got the most amazing pictures(i still gota go develop them) Juan nelson kept smiling at me and waving his hand everytime i waved mine. i had my little ben harper relief carving with me at all times and iwould wave it in the air everytime i though ben looked my way. in the beggining he wouldnt look but i didnt care, i was too hapy to get bummed out but after a while he sat down to play his lap guitar and we put the "WE HAVE A PRESENT 4 U SIGN" up in the air and he said "we have aa- present for" really slow trying to read the sign and he said :" i'll take it" he got up smiling and came up to me , bent over and grabbed it from MY HAND .. then he said "you made this? WOW thanks!!" he smiled and grabbed my hand saying thank you again. i could feel his sincerity , i didnt even freak out like alwasy thought i would. it was the most beautiful thing.
i made that psychedelic clay face for him in a sign of gratitude for bringing his art into my life and i thought it would be nice if i could give him a piece of my art so he could know that he is a very important person to look up to. i know he said he is flawed , and im sure he is in man ways jsut like everyone else on earth but he also has a pure soul he is CONCIOUS, and down to earth. i never thought i could get to touch his hand, i really wanted to give him a hug and a kiss on the forehead but thats too much to ask for. maybe one day when he comes back or when i get to follow BHIC on the road one summer.
i wish that ben liked my art and would like me to make BHIC stuff to sell it on his web site. after all i've made vases, ashtrays, faces and incense holders out of clay that say ben harper or have ben harper quotes, heh. its jsut a dream i have.LET ME BE.
i should have put my email address or phone number on the clay slab so who knows maybe one day he'd be intersted ... anything could happen.
oh well.

Saw Ben and the IC at pompano beach. This was about my 15th show, and I am always amazed at the awesome vibe created by Ben and the Innocent Criminals. I was with four friends who have never even heard of Ben Harper and they loved it. The reggae sound and the beautiful south Florida night was the perfect combination at this outside venue. I have to give props for opening the show with Burn One Down, nothing like getting the night started right! The show ending jam elevated me like nothing else. THANKS BEN HARPER AND THE INNOCENT CRIMINALS your music has been such a positive influence in my life spirtually and PARTYING to the groove!
