THIS WAS MY 9YR OLD DAUGHTERS FIRST CONCERT. SHE IS IN A WHEELCHAIR AND HER FAVORITE ARTIST IS BEN AND THE BAND. A FRIEND MADE HER A SHIRT THAT READ BEN IS MY ZEN AND I THINK THAT SAYS IT ALL. I COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR A BETTER SHOW FOR HER TO WITNESS. WHAT A GREAT INSPIRATION FOR HER THAN TO LISTEN AND WITNESS SUCH A POWERFUL PERFORMANCE. THANKS TO BEN AND THE BAND SHE CAN CONTINUE TO KEEP THE FAITH AND THAT MAKES HER LIFE A LITTLE EASIER. FOR A MOTHER THERE IS NOTHING GREATER THAN TO SEE YOUR CHILD WHO HAS HAD MANY STRUGGLES LOOSE THAT WORRY FOR EVEN A COUPLE OF HOURS BECAUSE SHE GOT TO SEE HER INSPIRATION. THANK YOU BEN FOR ALL YOU DO WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING!

Ben. Glorious Ben just after sunset after Jack and G and the roots and howie and ....the list was simply incredible the perfect ending to an incrdible weekend. It is truly a blessing to be in the presence of an artist as powerful as Ben. Next year same time same place....ACL!!! The only wish I had was that maybe Jack or G would crawl on stage and cut heads with him. (Even though I did hear that Ben did jam with the boys that Sunday night in a bar, probably rumors but if it were true......blessed are those that were there)

I completely agree with all the other reviewers: this show was amazing. It was my 3rd BHIC show (1st in Denver in 2000, 2nd was last year at the Gorge) and it just keeps getting better every time. I was waiting for BHIC all weekend long, they were the reason I bought my ACL ticket. :P Luckily I was able to get to row 4 center right, right after Wilco. This was the closest I've been to a BHIC show and to be able to see every emotion and the stage interaction was something I'll never forget. I completely forgot about the 70,000 people behind me...I was lost in music and dancing and in heaven. What a great setlist - it was a true pleasure to hear Dont Take That Attitude to Your Grave & How Many Miles & With My Own Two Hands/War. Great mix of old, new and in between. Loved loved loved the new songs, they sound wonderful live. Thank you Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals for a night I will never forget. btw, I'm reliving the concert as I type this, i d/led the webcast. Thank god for that! :)

This show was incredible as Ben's shows always are. The new songs came across perfect. I loved them. Take my Hand made me want to touch my self as it touched my soul. I love this band. What a great way to finish a long exhausting and wonderful weekend of great music. All of the pain in my legs and everything else and the heat was erased as soon as ben took the stage. I love you Ben!

I've been waiting a long time to see Ben Harper, and I was not disappointed! Along with everyone else suffering through heat for 3 days at ACL, it was worth every moment to see him and the band! I, too, got to meet him at the airport and he was so kind, and giving it all up for the fans. It was my first ACLfest, but it won't be the last. Susan

I have never before been so pumped to see a performance like this, and it was everything I expected and more. If you were there, you can join me in thanking BHIC and all the rest of the bands for coming together for such an awesome event. What a birthday present. I couldn't ask for anything else. Jack, G-Love, and DF, also put on such a great show. If you did not make it out, then there's only one thing I can say. ACL 05', already looking forward to it.
Go get the new album, it's great!
Thanks again

I was not able to see Ben at ACL, but I did have the privilege to see him play at a private party on Saturday Night! He played three songs with my husbands band, Wan Santo Condo. It was an experience of a life time! For a true fan, this was a dream come true. He is an amazing artist . Wish I was with you guys at ACL!

Once again I was blown away by one of the greatest artist on this earth. I waited all weekend to be able to see Ben live and the wait was worth it. This was one of the best festivals that I have ever been to. I was lucky enough to make my way up to the second row about 3 hours before Ben and I.C. came on stage and I wasn't moving until the very end. It was so nice to be able to meet all the other fans that waited along with me. I had people from all over the world next to me waiting for the same thing. Then to see him come on the stage was amazing. My poor tired legs went numb and as long as he was in front of me I couldn't feel a thing. It is hard not to feel like he's talking directly to you even though 70,000 other people are standing behind you. He has so much emotion and power in his voice that it touches my heart every time that I am blessed to see him.

Ben Harper (again) showed to many why he was the closing act on the main stage at the acl festival. There were 129 other stunning artists at the festival but Ben Harper again left me feeling cleansed and satisfied. Something that is rare for your favorite artist to be able to do again and again. I got a chance to meet Ben in the airport and he was as perfect of a gentleman as I imagined. Although I fumbled the speech I had practiced countless times. He deflected all credit to us, the fans. Thanks again Ben and Co. you did it again.

I think Emily put it well, I was completely unaware of everyone around me for an hour and a half, I missed a couple of his usual songs sexual healing for one, but the new gospel songs were great. I'm listening to the new album as im typing and its unbelievable, well actually for Ben, its entirely believable, but still amazing. go get it now. My love to all the other fans there, I love the experience at his shows, and a lot of it is being able to wait an hour in front of the stage and know youre surrounded by some great people.

You can tell that the entire band really loves their music and really wants to reach the crowd in anyway they can, they have so much passion in what they do, and it shows on every facial expression in the crowd, and on stage. This will be one of my most memorable Ben Harper and IC's shows. When Ben was about to play one of his new Gospel Songs, he said to the crowd, that he was a non-denominational artist, and a quote that will stick with me forever, Not believing is believing, because you believe in not believing. Thank you to Ben and IC's, you have a way of lifting people up.

The show for me was bittersweet. I managed my way to the front row and it was insane, but on my journey I lost my brand new digital camera. Once in the front row I realized it was gone, but luckily an awesome fan next to me promised to send me pictures he was taking. After the camera fiasco I was in the zone and mesmerized by Ben and the ICs. Walk Away got me a little teary eyed and I didn't stop moving or singing along once. I felt as if it were just me and the band. The 69,999 people behind me didn't exist for an hour and a half. All in all one of the best experiences of my life.
