Ben Harper 2009 Tour Setlists

Being one of the first times to unleash Relentless 7 onto the Australian audience, Ben and the band had everything to lose. Standing there, I was aware of the nerves in Ben as I had never once seen a Ben Harper show and not seen him engage with the crowd. Quite a lot of the crowd walked away that day and I think that it was mostly because they were expecting his older set list however, if you went knowing the album and not expecting any of the old songs, you were in for a treat! Ben was nervous but I think he harnessed that nervous energy and played a set that I will remember. As the set went on and the true fans and new fans cheered, the band warmed and played tight! Probably one of my favourite sets of all time!
