What a BRILLIANT evening!
Front row to one of the best evening's music you could hope for. Liam Finn was so much more intense than I thought & really rocked...
BHR7 played the best possible setlist I could hope for in 60 mins... Their new song is a magnificent... mellow slide guitar & beautiful lyrics.. Then into FADED (album version - no tags in the middle) Never thought I'd see them pull this one out. Eddie came out for Under Pressure & they nailed it. Keep it Together was the song I was really hoping for & a good 8-10 mins later I was not disappointed. Could've listened to them for another 2 hrs... but when you've got Pearl Jam following I couldn't be too upset.
Ben returned during encore 1 for a blistering Red Mosquito. Pearl Jam then continued to blow the crowd away. After 5 hours of the best rock you could I for I left with a big smile ringing ears & that hint of regret that I didn't fork out some $s to head East & catch more gigs... Enjoy the shows everyone. Thanks Liam, Ben/R7 & PJ for an awesome memorable night
