Ben suprised everyone by opening the show with nine solo acoustic songs. He dedicated the first set to the original performers of the Grand Ole Oprey like Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, and other traditional country artists that he grew up listening to. Then he admitted he was very nervous playing in the Ryman because of the great history associated with it. After "Walk Away" the crowd gave Ben a standing ovation!
