Ben Harper appeared live and solo on Friday afternoon before the concert. He mentioned during the interview with Maxx Faulkner that he was "riding the fence" on the idea of doing an entire lover's set on Valentine's Day. He asked Maxx if he should do it. Maxx replied, "Just 2 hours of pure lust?...maybe a couple Barry White covers?" Earlier in the interview Maxx gave away 3 pairs of tickets to the sold out show at the Newport Music Hall. The first pair (w/signed tix and autographed Burn to Shine CD) was given to the first listener that could correctly identify the guitar that Ben plays in concert. Ben said, "Nobody's gonna get that. It's too hard a question." Low and behold, the very first caller got the correct answer.
