The most unique of all the Italian gigs, tonight's atmosphere can best be compared to a state or county fair....except this band brought in more than 10,000 fans and spectators. The grounds of the "Fiesta 2001 Le Capannelle" consisted of a main stage surrounded by a carnival setting. While the Innocent Criminals jammed to a packed house, some spectators got tatoos or danced to a salsa band in the background. Before "Steal My Kisses", Juan teased a bit of the Nestle Crunch candy bar theme song, bringing smiles to hungry junk food fans. Due to a strict midnight curfew, Ben cut the acoustic set down to two songs. But the second encore of "Sexual Healing" left the fans salivating for more. As Ben, Juan and Oliver left stage, the crowd repeatedly sang "Heal Me, My Darling" while Leon kept the beat. Even after Leon departed, the chanting crowd showed their love by continuing to sing for many more minutes while the curfew-restricted band looked on.
