Ben's set of bottleneck blues for the Claremont Bluesfest '93 opened with Taj Mahal's "Cakewalk Into Town". He switched to acoustic guitar for brand new "Waiting On An Angel" and brought out the Weissenborn for the remainder of the set. Tearing through "By and By I'm Goin' to See the King" and moving into the freshly written original "Like A King", Ben captivated the hometown crowd with his fingerwork. To close the set, he invited his brother Joel to the stage to play acoustic guitar. Together the pair played a set of old standards, with Mississippi John Hurt's "Louis Collins" and the traditional blues jam, "Stagolee".
