Summerfest
Tuesday, July 3, 2001 at 7:00pm PDT
BHIC co-headlined the annual Summerfest with Widespread Panic on the main stage. The show marked the United States "debut" return of drummer Oliver Charles and percussionist Leon Mobley. When Ben's guitar shut down during "Ground On Down", the rhythm section showed off their skills with a six minute improvisational jam midway through. Ben later lamented, "There's been a lot of talk about the hardest working man in show business and all that like it's James Brown and everything. And I'm down with that, but I think it's my guitar tech [Tom Tyler]." "Roses From My Friends" was played solo acoustic.
